Rental Terms

1. Registration becomes valid upon receipt of the confirmation email for online registration.
2. We will keep your registration active until the end of business on the pickup day. After this time, the registration will expire.
3. The lease agreement is concluded between the customer making the reservation and Franz Trattler GmbH upon payment of the full rental price by the tenant. Therefore, the landlord will not hand over the rental property until the rental price has been paid in full. Should the lessor, in exceptional cases, expressly make the formation of the rental agreement contingent upon other conditions—such that the agreement is formed, for example, merely by the handover of the rental property—this expressly agreed-upon deviation shall, in such exceptional cases, be deemed agreed upon. By making a reservation, the customer confirms that he or she has full legal capacity and is therefore at least 18 years old.
4. The rental price applies only to consecutive rental days.
5. The obligation to pay the rental fee remains in effect even in cases of force majeure, particularly in the event of unfavourable weather conditions.
6. In the event of injury or illness of the renter during an ongoing rental period, no further rental fee will be charged from the date on which the rented item is returned immediately, provided that a medical certificate is presented. Any refund for the remaining rental period already paid will be made in the form of a credit note.
7. The rental price includes the option to switch free of charge to another model within the same price category.
8. Passing the rented item on to third parties is prohibited.
9. Before the rented item is handed over, a security deposit must be provided. This may consist of an identity document or credit card details. Providing a security deposit does not constitute a possible purchase price for the rented items.

10. The rental item is generally not insured against theft. By paying a theft protection fee equal to 10% of the total price, the rental item is insured against theft. The rental item is generally insured against breakage. In the event of damage—that is, breakage or theft—an deductible must be paid as follows:

    1. When booking Basic Class (3-star products): €70.00
    2. When booking Comfort Class (4-star products): €140.00
    3. When booking Premium Class (5-star products): €300.00
    4. Bei Buchung der Stöckli-, AK-Ski- oder Van-Deer-Klasse: 400,00 €

    In the event of theft without payment of the theft protection fee, the current market value of the rental item must be paid. In the event of theft, a police report must be submitted in all cases.

    In the event of willful damage, the renter must pay the repair costs. If a repair is not possible for this reason, the renter must reimburse the current market value of the product.

11. Rentals after 2:00 p.m. will not be charged until the following calendar day. If the rental item is returned before 11:00 a.m., the current calendar day will not be charged. The minimum rental period is one day.

12. Ski boots are adjusted to fit the ski bindings. Both rental items comply with the safety requirements of ISO Standard 11088. However, no separate safety inspection or adjustment in accordance with ISO/ÖNORM is performed when the rental item is handed over.

    However, we recommend that all ski renters have their bindings adjusted to the “Top Safety” setting (i.e., electronic binding test) in accordance with ISO Standard 11088 for a fee of €15.00. This adjustment takes about 10 minutes on-site. If the renter does not opt for the Top Safety Adjustment, the ski binding will be adjusted manually according to the ISO standard.

13. No liability is assumed for accidents of any kind. In particular, the lessor is not liable for damages resulting from incorrect information provided by the lessee—especially in connection with the binding settings.
14. Personal data provided in the course of conducting business will be processed and used exclusively for the purpose of handling inquiries or online reservations, in compliance with applicable national and European data protection regulations. The permanent storage and use of this data for marketing purposes will only occur with the tenant’s express consent (during customer registration, …) of the renter. This consent may be revoked at any time and free of charge, e.g., by email to info@trattler.com. The renter’s data will not be sold, rented, or made available to third parties.
15. German law shall apply exclusively—to the exclusion of any conflict-of-laws provisions. The exclusive venue shall be the court with subject-matter jurisdiction at the lessor’s place of business.
16. The online discounts listed (special offers from this retailer) and/or discount codes cannot be combined.
17. We use cookies that are stored on your hard drive and can only be read by our server when you re-establish a data connection to our server. The cookies are used to simplify the order process. The customer decides whether to delete the cookies. You can configure your browser to automatically accept cookies, to notify you when cookies are sent, or to block the use of cookies.
