For more than 90 years, TRATTLER in Reit im Winkl has been synonymous with quality footwear. As early as 1927, Josef Trattler was making shoes for everyday use as well as mountain boots in his master shoemaker’s workshop. In 2012, the business was recognised by “markt intern”, Europe’s largest industry information service, as a “German Traditional Company” and awarded four pearls in recognition of 85 years in business.
Today, customers from near and far can enjoy a modern specialist store focused on healthy, comfortable footwear. We offer shoes in a wide variety of styles and widths. Even for particularly challenging feet, our trained staff will help you find the right solution.
Our extensive mountain and hiking boot department on the lower floor is renowned throughout Germany and beyond the border into Austria. Customers appreciate our personal and professional advice, excellent service and the friendliness of our staff.
You will also find a wide selection of Meindl Identity® shoes here. These shoes are made in Germany from particularly high-quality cowhide leather. Meindl has been making shoes for 300 years – and you can see and feel that experience in every detail.

LOWA offers a special service in Reit im Winkl. The LOWA Mountain Boot Test Center is located at the Hindenburghütte/Hemmersuppen-Alm. It is open during the summer months from July to October.
Our large children’s department is located on the upper floor.
